About Letter and CV

Why we built it

Writing a resume should not start with a sign-up form, and it should not end with a surprise subscription. Many builders let you type for an hour and then ask for a card at the download step, or turn a small trial fee into a renewing plan. We wanted a tool that is honest from the first click: you can see what is free, you can download it, and you only pay if you choose a premium template.

We also wanted one place for the whole application, not only the resume. A job search usually needs a cover letter, a thank-you email after the interview, a follow-up message and, later, a resignation letter. Letter and CV covers those with the same editor and the same plain approach.

How Letter and CV works

Every tool runs inside your browser. When you type into the resume builder or the cover letter generator, the text is saved on your device so a page reload does not lose it. You can keep several documents, make a backup file, restore it on another computer, or delete everything with one button.

The letter tools fill a ready template with the details you type, such as the company name and the role. They do not send your text to an AI service or to anyone else. You stay in control of every sentence.

When you export, the PDF is built from real text with embedded fonts and a simple reading order. That matters because applicant tracking systems read the text layer of a file. A resume that looks fine but is really a picture of text can arrive empty on the recruiter side.

What is free and what is paid

All free templates are free to use and download as PDF, without a watermark and without an account. You can keep as many documents as your browser storage allows.

Premium Pass costs US$9 as a one-time payment. There is no subscription and no trial that renews by itself. You buy it by sending us a WhatsApp message, and we reply with a license code that unlocks the premium templates in your browser. The pricing page explains the details in plain words.

Who runs Letter and CV

Letter and CV is a product of Creativism, a digital marketing agency based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The project is led by Ahmad Thariq Syauqi, the founder and CEO of Creativism. He decides what gets built and answers for what the site says.

We are a small team, so we keep the product focused. We do not show reviews, ratings, user counts or company logos that we cannot prove, and we do not present anyone as an HR expert unless that person is real and has agreed to be named. When real reviews exist, they will appear with their source.

How we write our guides

The articles on the blog and the guides next to each tool follow a few rules:

• Facts come with a source you can open. If we cannot find a reliable source, we leave the claim out.
• Every article shows who wrote it, when it was published and when it was last updated.
• Comparisons with other resume builders state the date we checked their pricing page, because prices change.
• Examples use invented people and companies, never a real person’s resume.

Two languages, one tool

The English site is for job seekers everywhere, with US Letter resumes and A4 CVs both supported. The Indonesian edition at letterandcv.com/id is written for job seekers in Indonesia, with its own templates, letter formats and guides rather than a word-for-word translation.
